Hi nokser,
bootloader has nothing to do with OS version.
You can have 5 years old bootloader and brand new OS there.

pnewbootloader.exe is program for your PC. It uses ActiveSync (and itsutils) to transfer and execute the update on your device, so i suppose ActiveSync protocol didn't change that much.
Make sure, that you have enabled your device for running unsigned programs and RAPI unlock.

Hi, my XDA II got "no gsm" error, boot screen did not show radio and protocal,
It works as a PPC now, without all the wireless function.
I can flash ce rom, but can not flash radio.

So I want to Upgrade Bootloader, I download pnewbootloader and boot106.nB0 from this page:

After I run

I got:

It seems that this pnewbootloader is wrote for xda1/wallaby, not for xda2/himalaya, since wallaby got bootloader version 5.15/5.17.

Anyway, I still click yes to continue.

It seems nothing happened,my himalaya is still running in windows.

I download the latest itsutilsbin-20090515,
extract pnewbootloader.exe and itsutils.dll to overwrite the previous one from viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21036.
The cursur of cmd line keep flicking and nothing happened.
my himalaya is still running in windows.Will it become brick after reset?
