Getting a JasJar - need advice on upgrading

Getting a JasJar this week (someone is kindly giving it to me), and was wondering about upgrading it to a new version of windows mobile.

What is the best ROM to use (that has working wifi and is sim free)?

Also is there a step by step guide to do this.

Have previously upgraded my XDAII after following advice here at buzzdev.

Also is it possible to upgrade the RAM on the jasjar?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

i had JasJar (HTC Universal) before, but i wasn't really satisfied with most of the ROMs.
For me, the best ROM is a CLEAN ROM, which isn't bloated with all kinds of software.
If i need to install some additional software, i will pick it up and install it myself.
